| An original sampler of double-weave in cornflower blue and white with a label that reads "Plymouth Carding Mill - The Edison Institute" from Dearborn, Michigan. Hand woven in wool on a multi-harness loom, double weave shows the same design on both sides with the colors reversed. This technique was used in early American woven coverlets. Excellent condition. |
